POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Manufacturing Reliability Site Resource, you’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across the Lancaster facility. This role focuses on continuous improvement, capability building, and reliability enhancement through the deployment of K-IWS methodologies, systems, and tools. You’ll partner closely with frontline teams and plant leadership to identify opportunities, solve problems, and deliver sustainable improvements that support plant performance, reliability, and cost savings.
HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Deploy and support continuous improvement methodologies and tools including Autonomous Maintenance, Reliability Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, Process Mapping, and related K-IWS systems.
- Drive OEE improvement and cost savings initiatives through data analysis, problem solving, and loss elimination activities.
- Partner with hourly teams, supervisors, and plant leadership to identify, validate, and execute improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate and coach Root Cause Analysis events when performance targets are not achieved.
- Develop and maintain standard work, procedures, and documentation to support sustainable improvements.
- Lead and support Autonomous Maintenance, Operational Excellence, and reliability initiatives across the plant.
- Track, communicate, and support project visibility across plant functions, Operational Excellence teams, and corporate partners.
- Support digital factory management initiatives and transition efforts.
- Develop and deliver training for operators, supervisors, and leadership teams on K-IWS methodologies, systems, and tools.
- Conduct system health checks and monitor project sustainability to ensure continuous improvement standards are maintained.
- Support cross-functional teams in identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions that improve reliability and operational performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED and experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, K-IWS, IWS, HPO, SMED, and/or process optimization methodologies.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field.
- Experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Experience with SAP.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Combination of office and manufacturing plant floor environment.
- Regular interaction with production equipment, frontline teams, and operational systems.
- Exposure to plant conditions including noise, temperature variations, and required PPE while on the production floor.
- Fast-paced environment requiring strong collaboration, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Primarily day shift schedule with flexibility required to support operational needs, including occasional weekends and adjusted start times.
Salary Range: $87,920 - $109,900
