Tax Entry Level Accountant 2026

Responsibilities: - Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofits - Assist with tax planning and research projects using authoritative sources and Withum’s proprietary tools - Analyze financial data and apply tax regulations to client scenarios - Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to ensure integrated client service - Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategic discussions - Leverage tax technology platforms and data analytics tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy - Stay current on evolving tax laws and industry trends - Assume increasing responsibility on engagements as your proficiency grows - Miscellaneous tasks as assigned Required Qualifications: - Graduated or graduating college student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting - GPA of 3.0 or higher - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills - A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and grow - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with tax software is a plus - Ability to work in one of our office locations Preferred Qualifications: - 150 credit hours and prior internship experience with a public accounting firm Required Skills: Tax preparation, Tax planning, Data analysis Important Skills: Microsoft Excel, Tax software Nice-to-Have Skills: Eagerness to learn, Collaborative mindset Benefits: Competitive benefits package, Bonus program based on individual and firm performance
