Job Description
Hi! 👋 I’m Carla, based in Chile 🇨🇱, and I’m the Manager of Account Management at WeTravel. We help travel businesses grow by empowering them to make the most of our platform and create exceptional experiences for their travelers.
If you’re passionate about helping businesses thrive, excited by the challenges of working in a fast-paced SaaS environment, and love the idea of contributing to a product that supports travel entrepreneurs—then we’d love to meet you.
About the Role
WeTravel is looking for an experienced Account Manager Team Lead to join our growing team. In this role, you'll combine hands-on client relationship management with people leadership — guiding a small team of LATAM Account Managers while maintaining your own portfolio of strategic clients.
What You'll Do
- Manage a focused portfolio of larger clients, driving year-over-year Net Gross Payment Revenue growth of 120%+
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of up to 4+ Account Managers — running regular 1:1s, supporting career growth, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for both internal teams and external clients
- Deliver exceptional customer service across your own accounts and support your team in doing the same
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams; lead product trainings and AM team meetings as needed
- Generate and analyze reports on team performance, account metrics, and KPIs to surface trends and inform strategic decisions
What We're Looking For
- 2-3+ years of experience in an Account Management lead or managerial role, with a demonstrated track record of consistently hitting 100% of targets year over year
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage large account portfolios
- Leadership experience and a genuine interest in developing others
- Solid project management skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal (bonus points for other languages—list them on your resume!)
Nice to Have
- Deep product knowledge and familiarity with the travel industry, its competitive landscape, and key trends
- Fluency in Portuguese, both written and verbal
Benefits
- Full-time - Fixed Term Contract (as International Contractor).
- Generous "Time to Recharge" policy — enjoy unlimited paid time off to rest, recharge, and show up as your best self.
- Amsterdam Program – visit us in Amsterdam (HQ) for 2-4 weeks every year, staying in one of our WeTravel apartments.
- Work remotely for a maximum of 4 weeks per calendar year.
- Extensive paid family leave.
- Three paid volunteer days per year — take time to give back to causes you care about, on us.
- 2-week cross-functional onboarding program.
- Cutting-edge equipment and tools to set you up for success.
- Join an international, travel-loving team with a passion for adventure and innovation.
Please Note
- As a member of our international team, you’ll work full-time under a B2B contractor agreement, with monthly payments in USD.
- For this role, we can only consider candidates who have the full legal right to work in a LATAM country (citizenship or residency). Unfortunately, WeTravel is not able to offer visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
- Base salary range is between $37,000-$46,000 USD. Offer will be based upon location and qualifications.
