Assistant Professor of Supply Chain & Analytics

Summary: Western Illinois University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain & Analytics for a full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning August 20, 2026. The role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in supply chain/logistics and business analytics, maintaining an active research agenda, and engaging with business and industry partners. Responsibilities: - Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate instruction in both traditional in-person and online formats in the areas of supply chain/logistics and business analytics, with a Primary Emphasis On Equipping Students And Professionals With Skills needed to effectively manage operations and supply chains in an increasingly complex, data-driven business environment - A minimum teaching load of 3/3 is required - Candidates are expected to maintain an active research agenda consistent with AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) qualification - Service to the School, College, University, profession, and community is expected, including engagement with business and industry partners Required Qualifications: - An earned Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations & Supply Management, or a closely-related field from an AACSB-accredited institution, OR a Ph.D./DBA in a related business field with a dissertation focused on supply chain management or logistics.
