Job Description
Summary: Wavestone North America is a global consulting powerhouse focusing on strategic transformations. They are seeking a highly motivated Legal Intern to support their Legal Department, where the intern will gain hands-on experience in corporate and transactional matters while working closely with Sr. Legal Counsel.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Sr. Legal Counsel with legal research and analysis related to corporate, contract, and international law matters
- Support post-integration activities, including contract review, entity management, and compliance tracking
- Draft, review, and organize contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
- Participate in due diligence activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and integrations
- Help maintain contract databases and legal records
- Prepare summaries, memoranda, and presentations for internal legal and business stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, finance, and business operations
- Perform additional legal and administrative tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of first year of law school (1L required) at an accredited institution
- Demonstrated interest in corporate law, international law, and contract law
- Interest in post-integration work, mergers & acquisitions, or corporate operations
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Candidates must be located within a commutable distance from our North Shore office in Pittsburgh and able to meet hybrid work expectations
