Job Description
Summary: Wallick Communities is a 100% employee-owned company dedicated to providing affordable housing and assisted living for families and seniors. The Community Manager role involves leading a team, ensuring financial responsibilities are met, and maintaining positive relationships with residents while achieving operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of leasing agents and maintenance professionals, ensuring a highly engaged team provides a great experience for our residents
- Process community staff payroll
- Ensure collections of all monies due to the community (i.e., rent) are received and deposited
- Process community invoices for payment
- Purchase and maintain adequate supplies for the community
- Maintain acceptable levels of occupancy (minimum 98%)
- Maintain positive relationships with the community owner/s and its residents
- Review rental applications for approval
- Complete move-out paperwork according to governing regulations
- Perform unit move-out, annual, and housekeeping inspections in a timely manner
- Audit all resident files and ensure they are complete and correct prior to forwarding to supervisor for review/approval
- Timely completion of reports required by government agencies, administrators, or the Company
- Responsible for maintaining the community to Company standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ year previous experience as a residential property manager, with HUD / Section 8 experience a big plus
- 3 years previous experience in a general manager position, or similar, with exceptional people leadership and process management experience
- High School diploma, or associate's degree is a big plus
- Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic
- A commitment to providing exceptional service to our valued residents
- You're deadline driven, with a keen eye for detail, compliance, and quality
- Great computer skills and fluent with Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Having COS, LIHTC, HCCP, AHM is a plus – you will be given the chance to obtain as an associate
- Experience with Yardi is a big plus
