Job Description
Summary: Vituity is dedicated to transforming healthcare and improving lives through a collaborative team environment. They are seeking a Healthcare and Community Impact Intern to support planning and execution of webinars, coordinate outreach, assist with data collection, and contribute to health equity research projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support planning and execution of virtual webinars, mentoring circles, or panels
- Help coordinate speakers and prepare event materials
- Assist with outreach to students and partner programs
- Support development of presentations, email communications, or program resources
- Help capture testimonials and participant feedback
- Collect and organize participation data and post-event feedback
- Research best practices for pathway and workforce development initiatives
- Assist with identifying and compiling community health and social service resources for underserved patients
- Research best practices and evidence-based approaches to advancing health equity in healthcare settings
- Assist with data collection and basic analysis related to program participation, outcomes, or disparities
- Help document program outcomes, lessons learned, and impact for internal reporting
- Clinical Shadowing: Gain hands-on exposure by shadowing healthcare providers, observing patient care processes, and gaining a deeper understanding of healthcare delivery in various settings
- Attend training sessions or workshops to enhance skills and knowledge: Engage in professional development opportunities to build expertise in healthcare administration, program management, and impact-driven work
- Cross Department Learning: Collaborate with departments such as clinical operations, marketing, and talent development to gain a holistic understanding of how Vituity drives healthcare impact across diverse functions
- Interns will lead or contribute to a specific healthcare impact projects , in one of the following areas: Health Equity Research & Strategy: Projects emphasize health disparities within a specific community and propose strategies for intervention to reduce disparities in care by expanding access to culturally responsive resources and support for underserved patients and communities
- Pathway to Medicine: Education, Mentorship & Workforce Development: Projects emphasize improving outreach, strengthening engagement at key transition points, and documenting outcomes to ensure students can successfully explore and pursue careers in healthcare
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with aspirations to pursue healthcare administration, public health, clinical research, or related fields required
- Ability to travel for in-person meeting (all expenses paid by Vituity) required
- Excellent organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting emails, presentations, or educational materials
- Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Passion for improving healthcare systems, clinical care, and contributing to positive community impact
- Ability to work independently with drive and initiative as well as work well within a team setting
- Demonstrated self-learner interested in continued professional development and personal growth
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong interest in healthcare administration and/or clinical aspects of medical practice preferred
- Experience with event planning, program coordination, or community-based initiatives (academic, volunteer, or professional) preferred
- 1-2 years of work experience of any capacity (can be positions held while in school, volunteer, or club experience) that is directly relevant to the internship preferred
