Job Description
Summary: The United States Tennis Association (USTA) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and is dedicated to promoting its growth. The UX Design Intern will contribute to enhancing user experiences across various USTA digital platforms by conducting user research, analyzing performance metrics, and collaborating with design teams.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and heuristic evaluations
- Analyze website performance metrics to identify pain points and opportunities
- Collaborate with UX designers and developers in daily standups and project meetings
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and design solutions using Figma
- Assist in designing scalable UI components aligned with the USTA design system
- Support usability testing efforts using tools such as UserTesting.com and HotJar
- Contribute insights and documentation to help guide design decisions across web and mobile applications
Required Qualifications:
- Familiar with UX and research tools such as Figma, UserTesting.com, HotJar, and Adobe Analytics
- Curious, creative, and detail-oriented with a passion for user-centered design
- Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with designers, developers, and product teams
- Interested in learning how research, data, and design come together to shape digital experiences
- Organized, proactive, and eager to contribute to meaningful design projects
