Job Description
UOB makes markets in nearly all major asset classes, providing sophisticated, timely solutions to our clients.Our Sales and Trading (S&T) team works in a fast-paced, dynamic and exciting environment, quickly processing information and anticipating market trends to help clients make their next move. In the Financial Institutions (FI) Sales team, we service highly sophisticated financial institutional clients including banks and non-bank asset managers, and funds. We are looking for an intern to come on board to provide technical and administrative support.
As a FI Sales intern, you will need to gather information on the previous day’s market activity before the day officially starts.
You will also handle general enquiries and assist FI Sales in gatheringmarket and product data and prepare presentations for client pitches.
Learning value will be immense but expectations will also be great for the intern that comes on board.
Learning Outcomes
1. Financial Markets Product Knowledge across various asset classes
including but not limited to FX, rates, money markets, fixed
Income, equities and commodities
2. Understanding market dynamics and how various asset classes are
interconnected
Qualifications/Requirements
Undergraduate year 2 onwards
Finance/Accountancy/Economics background advantageous
Powerpoint, Excel and Excel VBA advantageous
Keen interest in global financial markets and factors that impactthem
Effective verbal and written communication
Comfortable with change and adjust to changing demands andrequirements
Strong team player and demonstrates energy and drive
Creative thinking, problem-solving and process improvement skills
Proactive, enthusiastic learner
