Student Accounting Intern

Summary: The University of St. Thomas is seeking a Student Accounting Intern to assist in various accounting tasks within the Controller's Office. The role involves preparing reconciliations, reports, and monthly journal entries while performing vendor verifications and data entry. Responsibilities: - Assist in preparing various reconciliations, reports, surveys and other projects as assigned - Perform verification of new vendors - Prepare monthly accounting journal entries and other analysis - Scanning documents, filing and data entry Required Qualifications: - Undergraduate student majoring in Accounting - Minimum requirement: successful completion of Intro to Financial Accounting - Must be detail-oriented and self-directed with the ability to work independently - Excellent organizational skills required and willingness to ask questions - Must be sensitive to confidential matters - Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Required Skills: Financial Accounting, Accounting Reconciliations, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Self-direction
