JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Materials Distribution Management team as a HOSP AST 2 PD. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of hospital supply chain processes. Your responsibilities will include delivering supplies to patient care areas, restocking essential items, and managing inventory to support clinical and non-clinical departments. With a focus on detail and a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate closely with clinical staff to meet their supply needs.

Work Environment
• Keeps working areas neat, orderly and clutter-free, including the hallways. Adheres to cleaning processes and puts things back where they belong. Removes and reports broken equipment and furniture.

• Posts flyers and posters in designated areas only; does not post on walls, doors or windows.
• Knows where the Environment of Care Manual is kept in department; corrects or reports unsafe conditions to the appropriate departments.
• Protects the physical environment and equipment from damage and theft.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• High School graduation and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous experience in hospital materials management, supply chain, or logistics is preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems, such as Oracle, is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clinical staff and colleagues.
• Physical ability to lift and move supplies, with a commitment to supporting daily operational needs.
• Proficiency in using handheld scanning devices and willingness to learn new inventory management tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to handle changing priorities and work demands.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain a well-organized work area.
• A commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for contributing to a positive patient experience.
