Job Description
Summary: U.S. Bank is on a journey to help customers and businesses make better financial decisions. The Security Control Center Analyst is responsible for monitoring systems worldwide, coordinating responses to alarms, and ensuring the safety of customers and assets.
Responsibilities:
- Alarm monitoring and equipment maintenance
- Monitor and respond appropriately to alarm signals to include fire, life safety, intrusion, and asset protection, and provide direction as necessary coming from Pacom and Genetec systems
- Then effectively documenting and communicating those interactions to the appropriate parties
- Coordinate response with relevant internal or external agency to provide ongoing protection of U.S. Bancorp customers, personnel and assets
- Process communications from internal personnel, law enforcement agencies and U.S. Bancorp employees, customers and vendors
- Assistance with and document alarm testing of U.S. Bank alarms as needed
- Assist alarm system users and technicians in the field in the use and testing of these systems and identify potential service or training issues and escalate to the appropriate person for resolution
- Interact closely with all Corporate Real Estate divisions, i.e.: Senior Management, Investigations, Guard Services, Facilities, and Engineering
- Serve as intermediary to channel communications between internal business lines and Corporate Security and Real Estate staff
- Place security service calls for all U.S. Bancorp facilities
- The Analyst dispatches the appropriate vendor for the problem and interacts with them as needed to help identify the issue
- Incident response
- Utilize tools provided, such as the Enterprise Notification System to alert employees of incidents that could impact safety or business operations
- Escalating any situation per appropriate criteria in a timely manner to ensure employee life-safety and to come to a resolution of any emergency issues
- After the resolution Providing written documentation, using good grammatical form and appropriate style, to express ideas in a thorough and concise manner
- Operate a variety of computer systems and be familiar with various software packages such as Microsoft Office, Windows NT and other proprietary software packages
- Adapt to changes or problems that may be encountered while performing routine daily activities
- Using critical problem-solving skills while using resources to come to educated conclusions
- Other miscellaneous tasks that may be assigned to help the overall organization protect any person, property or asset
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Typically, less than one year of applicable experience
- Detail-oriented
- Adaptable to changing circumstances
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to achieve and maintain control of stressful situations
- Good customer service abilities
- Good written and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Basic typing skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team

Preferred Qualifications:
- Security/law enforcement and/or military experience
- Central alarm monitoring/dispatch center experience
- Previous banking and/or property management operations experience
- Call center and/or customer service experience
- Basic understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends
- Well-developed analytical skills
- Ability to research and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong PC skills, particularly word processing, spreadsheet, databases, and presentations
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
