Job Description
Summary: Tyson Foods is a leading food company, and they are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
- Receive training as required
- Perform various positions as required/assigned
- Assist maintenance supervisor with personnel and equipment
- Assign maintenance techs to equipment during process periods
- Assist with preventative maintenance and breakdowns
- Train maintenance techs on equipment
- Utilize computer-based PM program to track equipment maintenance
- Fill in for absenteeism or assisting in other areas of plant
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate and/or student of an industrial maintenance training program (can be combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months)
- Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate with other Team Members, producers, and drivers
- Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc
- Must be willing to lift 70 lbs. periodically throughout the shift on a daily basis and be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours
- Must be willing to complete all required training for the job
- The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
