***This position will sit remote and will require frequent travel to plant locations. Preferred candidates will live near our plants and close to a major airport to support regular, efficient travel and on‑site engagement***
SUMMARY: We are looking for a dedicated Continuous Improvement Deployment Manager who will be responsible for leading and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives across our organization. They will be responsible for deploying the standardized Tyson Lean MOS processes across the enterprise, as well as assisting in the development of any needed documentation to support the program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Lean methodologies, process optimization, and change management. The Continuous Improvement Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and drive operational efficiency within our company.
Responsibilities include:
Develop documentation to support the Tyson Lean MOS program as needed by following the dedicated change management process.
Responsible for leading and/or participating in the deployment of the Tyson Lean MOS processes across the entire manufacturing enterprise.
Ensure all facets of the program are deployed effectively and that teaching, coaching, and development are provided to both plant personnel and peers.
Ability to monitor and measure the effectiveness of process improvements, ensuring sustainable results, and quantifying cost savings.
Publish weekly reports to leadership on deployment journey, milestones achieved, and corresponding financial impacts.
Ability to mentor plant Lean Leaders and peers with less experience to help develop their skillset.
Ability to teach all Smart Factory tools to plant and corporate personnel to drive effective implementation and adoption.
Must be able to effectively execute Lean tools within a manufacturing environment.
Be a catalyst for change management to the new methodology by walking the walk and talking the talk.
Generate reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to all relevant stakeholders across the enterprise.
Ability to develop standard work instructions following the standardized methodology and templates.
Must be able to provide constructive feedback in regard to the Tyson Lean MOS processes for plant personnel during the deployment processes to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Must possess the necessary skills to teach and lead problem solving activities and keep in line with strategic problem-solving methodology.
Must have the ability to work across all three shifts as needed based on deployment and plant schedules.
Collaborate and effectively communicate with all cross-functional departments as needed to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate progress, challenges, and successes to senior management and stakeholders. Coordinate with stakeholders and team members to ensure project milestones are met within established timelines.
Implement change management methodologies to ensure successful adoption of process improvements.
Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify opportunities for enhancement.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, increase efficiencies, and reduce operating costs.
Identify and analyze current processes to identify potential areas for improvement.
Ability to identify best practices across the enterprise and ensure they get escalated, reviewed, and if approved, effectively deployed. All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Communication Skills:
Ability to effectively engage, train, and lead people at all levels of the organization, solid coaching and mentoring skills, ability to develop and create documentation to include work instructions, SOP’s, playbooks, program administration, weekly report outs, templates, and forms.
Computer Skills:
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms; SAP, Power BI, Redzone, and other Smart Factory applications.
Travel:
80% travel is required for the position.
Specific Skills:
Strong business acumen, lean and continuous improvement skills, process management background.
Experience with Learning Management Systems
Experience developing and delivering Lean Manufacturing Content
Experience facilitating groups in Problem Solving and Kaizen activities.
Thorough understanding of Problem-Solving Methodologies
