Job Description
Summary: Turner & Townsend is a global professional services company specializing in project management across various sectors. They are seeking a Cost Management Analyst to join their Graduate Development Program, which aims to develop recent graduates into successful consultants by providing exposure to cost management services and capital projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support in development of comprehensive project estimates, including construction, fees, direct work, and other associated costs
- Engage with vendors to review, validate, and challenge cost inputs
- Utilize benchmark data from previous projects to inform and assess estimate accuracy
- Advise clients on capital planning strategies across large-scale portfolios
- Provide insights to optimize investment decisions and long-term financial planning
- Support procurement activities including vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and bid leveling
- Facilitate bid interviews and provide final recommendations for vendor selection
- Oversee the appointment process in alignment with client objectives
- Establish and manage cost reporting schedules
- Present cost reports and forecasts to clients, ensuring transparency and accuracy
- Maintain a commercial risk register and lead periodic review meetings with project teams and vendors
- Assess payment applications and recommend contractor entitlements
- Review and evaluate change order requests, providing strategic recommendations to clients
- Apply dispute prevention and resolution procedures to manage payment requisitions and contractual issues
- Monitor and manage the end-to-end invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate payments
- Benchmark project performance against successful commissions to identify areas for improvement
- Manage all aspects of the financial close process, including post-contract audits and account close-outs
- Conduct post-contract reviews with clients to capture lessons learned
- Develop training materials and manuals based on project insights to support continuous improvement
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable
Required Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of industry experience
- Bachelors and/or Masters Degree
