Job Description
Summary: True Anomaly is a company focused on building innovative technology for space security and sustainability. They are seeking an IT Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise IT operations and participate in various core IT functions.
Responsibilities:
- Helpdesk & Endpoint Support: Assist with tier-1 helpdesk ticket triage and resolution, endpoint provisioning and imaging, and hardware/software lifecycle management for laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices
- Infrastructure & Networking: Get exposure to monitoring, troubleshooting, and basic configuration tasks. Assist with systems administration activities including user account management, access provisioning, and server maintenance across on-prem and cloud environments
- IT Security & Compliance: Shadow IT security operations including vulnerability scanning, patch management, and access reviews. Assist with documentation and audit preparation related to applicable compliance frameworks
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Create and update internal knowledge base articles, IT process documentation, and standard operating procedures to improve team efficiency and institutional knowledge
- Capstone Project: Identify and execute a focused project based on a real operational need observed during rotations — such as automating a manual IT process, building an internal reporting tool, or overhauling documentation for a key system or workflow
- General: Collaborate closely with mentors and IT team members to apply your knowledge and develop technical skills in a fast-paced environment
- Engage in cross-functional teamwork, interacting with teams across the organization to solve complex challenges
- Showcase your work through presentations or project reviews
- Participate in social and professional events with fellow interns and employees
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related experience with the technology
- Must be able to work full time (40 hours per week), on-site in Denver, CO for 12 consecutive weeks
- Intern Program will run May – August 2026
- Must be able to provide own transportation and housing
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with one or more of the following: Windows and/or Linux system administration, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), endpoint management tools, ticketing systems, or cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
- Exposure to IT security concepts, compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, CMMC), or scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Passionate about advancing space security and sustainability
- Resilient problem-solving attitude
