Tennis Camp Counselor

Marin Country Club, located in Novato CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Tennis Camp Counselor! The Tennis Camp Counselor will work closely with the Director of Tennis to provide a safe learning environment that fosters fun, exciting experiences and memories to share for a lifetime!

 $25 per hour

Position Summary:

• Responsible for supervising campers and assisting in recreational activities.

​​​​​​​Essential Duties:

• Assisting recreational activities for children
• Lead small or large groups on crafts, games and various other camp exercises
• Monitor campers to identify and respond to unruly behavior or deviations from camp guidelines
• Follow policies for the safety of campers, equipment, and personal property
• Act as a role model for campers in activities which require cleanliness, punctuality, and sportsmanship
• Mediate disputes or conflicts between campers to ensure a peaceful environment
• Participate in singing, storytelling, and sporting activities

Requirements:

• Education and Training: previous experience working with children preferred
• Knowledge of sports, arts, or crafts is also necessary for the position
• Leadership Skill: Camp counselors are able to direct and coordinate children during summer camp trip
• This job posting is intended for a seasonal, part-time tennis professional.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently stands and uses hands; reaches with hands and arms, talks or hears
• Regularly walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches
• Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds

Environment/Noise:

• Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
