Job Description
Summary: Toyon Research Corporation is seeking an intern to assist with various tasks related to program office content and security requirements. The role involves evaluating and updating documentation, transcribing SOPs, and developing reports for site visits.
Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with SharePoint to evaluate and update the program office content to enable user friendly navigation and improve access to unclassified documentation
- Review and gain an understanding of security requirements outlined in DODM 5205.07 to assist with updating the program Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Transcribe unclassified SOPs from printed documents to digital format
- Complete SIMS Software training and become familiar with the accountability database
- Assist with local site visits and complete a report for each one that can be used to assess appropriateness for customer activities
- Develop and create a database of local site visit report information
- Collect and evaluate stakeholder requirements to plan for procurement of facility furniture and appliances associated with a facility construction project
- Escort uncleared vendors during a construction project, supporting early morning arrivals
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Ability to qualify for a US Department of Defense security clearance required
- Actively enrolled college student
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and independent thinker
- Ability to collaborate within a team of security, IT, and project management personnel to solve problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
