Hrly Financial Literacy Programs Intern

Summary: The Indianapolis Public Library is seeking a Financial Literacy Program Intern to assist with financial literacy program planning and delivery. This temporary, grant-funded position involves curriculum development and coordination of programs at various library branches. Responsibilities: - Writes financial literacy curriculum geared toward adult (19-55) and senior (56+) audiences including defining learning objectives, researching content and developing teaching materials - Assists in scheduling and coordinating financial literacy programs virtually and at branches systemwide - Delivers and facilitates financial literacy programs virtually and at branches systemwide - Assist programming staff in evaluating financial literacy programs and reporting outcomes to internal and external stakeholders - Assist programming staff in coordinating promotional materials for financial literacy programming - Able to work the normally scheduled work time for this position including some evenings and weekends - Able to cope with daily job-related stress Required Qualifications: - Be a student currently pursuing a Master's degree in Library Science, Education, Museum Studies, Business Administration, or relevant field - Have attention to detail and self-motivated - Be independent, reliable, collaborative worker, comfortable working alone or in a group - Have reliable transportation - Have some weekend and evening availability - Have some customer service experience - Have basic computer and internet skills including MS 365 and Teams - Have a desire and enthusiasm to learn Required Skills: Financial literacy curriculum development, Scheduling, Program coordination, Program delivery, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams Benefits: This is a non-benefited position, paid hourly., The Library proudly promotes from within as part of our commitment to employee development.
