Job Description
Summary: The Brittingham Group, LLP is seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant I - Auditor to provide support in financial compilations, reviews, and audits for various clients. The role offers the opportunity to gain experience in public accounting while working collaboratively with the firm's partners and other accounting professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Executing audit procedures
- Assisting in audit planning
- Work Paper Preparation and Documentation
- Financial Disclosures review
- Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Financial Statement Preparation
Required Qualifications:
- Exceptional analytical and research skills
- Ability to master multiple software programs and systems
- In-depth understanding of the accounting cycle
- Critical knowledge of financial statements of for-profit, non-profit and governmental businesses and organizations
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills and capabilities
- Entry level - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Superlative interpersonal skills
- Versatility in meeting and interfacing with clients, staff, individuals and businesses with diverse backgrounds, gender, age, etc
- Ability to team with other professional accountants, partners, and professional staff & student interns to accomplish targeted tasks
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Flexibility of hours as dictated by client working hours
- Driver's License
- Ability to Commute to Columbia, SC
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA candidate
- QuickBooks accounting software experience
