Job Description
Summary: Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) is dedicated to supporting education in Texas through a collaborative and diverse work environment. They are seeking an HR Data Analyst to provide data analysis support for compensation consulting and salary surveys for public schools and community colleges in Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Provide data analysis support to consultants on assigned projects, participate in review of salary survey data for accuracy, and communicate with districts about data clarifications and updates
- Completes independent compensation projects, including communication with clients, conducting market comparisons, developing salary and pay plan recommendations, and providing written reports of findings and recommendations
- Works with a team of other analysts
- Collects, cleans, analyzes, and interprets client salary data. Uses data analysis techniques to analyze, summarize, display, and explain data
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge and skills using Excel
- Must be thorough, accurate, and precise in analyzing and reviewing data, strong attention to details
- Must be able to multi-task and stay organized between multiple projects at one time
- Strong communication skills through emails, phone calls, and Teams messaging/video calls with internal coworkers and external clients
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, business, social sciences, education, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience using spreadsheets and analyzing data is required and some experience in public education is preferred
- This position is fully remote, but candidates must live in Texas for employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Programming skills are not required but a strong understanding of excel VBA and/or knowledge of Power BI are preferred
- Some experience in public education is preferred
