Job Description
Summary: Texas A&M University is one of the fastest-growing academic health centers in the nation, dedicated to improving health through transformative education and innovative research. The College of Pharmacy is seeking a Research Assistant to support the Pharmaceutical Sciences team in conducting research, managing projects, and overseeing research equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, compiles, and analyze research data
- Prepares or assists in preparing reports of research funding
- Manage the breeding and genotyping of animals colonies
- Order and prepare buffers and research reagents as needed and keeps a log
- May train users on the preparation and data management of research equipment
- Assists with planning, developing, coordinating, and administering research projects
- Manage and oversees research equipment
- Supervisory responsibilities: may carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization’s objectives, policies and applicable laws
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor of Science
- Cellular and Molecular Biochemistry major
