As a global-leading health and well-being provider – encompassing physical, mental and financial health – TELUS Health is improving health outcomes for consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, employers and employees.
Join Our Team and What We'll Accomplish Together
At TELUS Health, we're transforming how organizations manage their most valuable asset—their people. The Software Product Management, Retirement and Benefit Solutions team is at the forefront of this mission, working with Canada's largest employers to simplify complex pension administration and unlock strategic value for their organizations.
As a Senior Solution Architect, you'll be the bridge between our clients' business challenges and our market-leading technology solutions. You'll partner directly with C-suite executives and technical leaders at some of Canada's most significant enterprises, helping them navigate complex pension ecosystems and design solutions that drive measurable business impact. Your expertise will shape not only individual client journeys but also the strategic direction of our product roadmap—your voice will be heard in how TELUS Health evolves.
This is a role of influence and impact. You'll be trusted as a strategic advisor, a problem-solver, and a champion of innovation—someone who earns credibility through deep expertise and genuine partnership.
Shape Strategic Client Partnerships
Build and nurture relationships with technical and functional leaders across our most important clients and prospects, becoming their trusted advisor on pension administration strategy and technology integration
Collaborate with the TELUS Health Sales team to craft compelling, client-specific strategies that demonstrate clear ROI and business value alignment
Position yourself as the expert voice in the room—translating complex technical concepts into business outcomes that matter to executives
Drive Solution Innovation & Design
Lead the end-to-end solution architecture process: from functional requirements review and gap analysis through system design and implementation strategy
Design integrated solutions that leverage the full breadth of TELUS Health's capabilities while addressing each client's unique business processes and constraints
Conduct in-depth business process design and systems integration assessments, making strategic recommendations that balance cost, risk, benefits, and delivery capability
Actively consult with clients on proposed solutions, explaining your rationale and refining approaches based on their evolving needs
Connect Client Insights to Product Innovation
Serve as the voice of the market: document and synthesize client feedback, competitive landscape intelligence, and emerging needs
Work directly with TELUS Health's Product Development and Engineering teams to advocate for enhancements that address real client gaps and market opportunities
Identify where our solutions excel and where we need to evolve—and drive those conversations forward
Build Expertise Across the Organization
Lead workshops, educational sessions, and best practice forums for clients and partners—positioning TELUS Health as the trusted authority in defined benefit pension administration
Develop and disseminate comprehensive solution architecture documentation that becomes the reference standard for your team
Create a repository of technological knowledge and case studies that elevate our collective expertise and accelerate future engagements
Manage Complex, High-Impact Engagements
Juggle multiple concurrent client engagements, each with unique requirements and timelines
Coordinate solution sizing, development assessments, and leadership reviews to ensure clarity and alignment
Navigate ambiguity with confidence—synthesizing information quickly, applying abstract thinking, and making sound recommendations under pressure
What You Bring
Core Expertise (Must-Haves)
8+ years of hands-on experience in System Implementation, Software Business Analysis, Product Development, or Business Process Definition—specifically within the Pension and/or Group Benefits industry
5+ years working in an HR service delivery environment, with deep understanding of how pension administration functions within organizations
Advanced expertise in Defined Benefit Pension administration delivery—you understand the products, services, regulatory nuances, and best practices that define this space
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Human Resource Management, Commerce, or equivalent professional experience
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and propose innovative solutions
What Sets You Apart
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex, concurrent client engagements without losing focus or quality
Excellent presentation and communication skills—you can explain complicated concepts with clarity and confidence to both technical and non-technical audiences
Natural relationship builder and people leader—you earn trust quickly and inspire confidence through expertise and authenticity
Comfort with ambiguity and rapid learning—you thrive in dynamic environments and adapt your approach as circumstances evolve
Experience with Group Benefits administration (an asset that strengthens your perspective on the broader HR services landscape)
