Our challenge
We are seeking a skilled Regression Tester with expertise in Java, JavaScript, Selenium, Playwright, and CI/CD pipelines, along with a strong understanding of Capital Markets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing regression test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of our financial trading and market applications.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $100k – CAD $120k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automated regression test scripts using Java, JavaScript, Selenium, and Playwright.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand application features and identify testing requirements.
Execute regression test suites and analyze results to identify defects.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and deployment.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements within Capital Markets domain.
Report, track, and verify defects; provide detailed defect reports.
Continuously improve test automation frameworks and testing processes.
Ensure comprehensive test coverage for complex financial applications.
Requirements:
Proven experience in Regression Testing within financial or Capital Markets domain.
Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript.
Expertise in Selenium and Playwright for automation testing.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
Knowledge of Capital Markets, Trading platforms, or Financial Instruments.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and team player attitude.
Preferred, but not required:
Experience with other automation tools and frameworks.
Certification in Testing or Capital Markets domain.
Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization.
