Cloud Architect
Location: Bengaluru - Bellandur (GTP)
Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and highly available multi-cloud platforms supporting enterprise applications. This role is essential in driving organizational cloud strategy, ensuring operational agility, and optimizing costs across cloud environments. The ideal candidate will architect and refine cloud solutions across AWS, GCP, and hybrid cloud environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust cloud ecosystems aligned with business and technical objectives.
Software Requirements
Required Software Proficiency:
Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure — extensive experience in designing and managing enterprise cloud architectures supporting mission-critical workloads (supporting a 10+ year background in cloud support/architecture)
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform (preferred), CloudFormation, or similar — demonstrated ability to automate cloud environment provisioning and management
Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (2+ years) — deep experience in containerized deployment, scaling, and orchestration of cloud applications
Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch — solid track record in system health monitoring, alerting, and incident response support
Network & Security: Cloud networking, firewalls, IAM policies, encryption — for establishing secure, compliant cloud environments supporting enterprise standards
Preferred Software Skills:
Hybrid and multi-region cloud architecture design supporting high availability and disaster recovery strategies
Cloud security tools and compliance frameworks supporting standards like PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA
DevOps automation: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab for CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure automation
Overall Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, deployment, and management of scalable and secure multi-cloud and hybrid cloud solutions supporting enterprise applications and data workloads
Develop cloud strategy frameworks supporting agility, operational efficiency, and cost management aligned with organizational objectives
Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and DevOps teams to implement cloud-native solutions supporting high performance and security compliance
Drive automation initiatives for infrastructure as code, deployment, configuration, and continuous integration/delivery pipelines
Support cloud migration projects, environment configuration, and ongoing optimization for large, complex enterprise systems
Monitor cloud environment health, troubleshoot incidents, and implement performance improvements and security controls
Conduct security assessments, compliance audits, and governance practices supporting industry or regulatory standards
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge sharing within cloud teams and across the organization
Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and security policies

Extensive experience automating infrastructure and deployment processes using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Strong knowledge of cloud security, governance, and regulatory compliance frameworks supporting regulated industries (preferably finance, healthcare)
Demonstrated leadership in managing cloud strategies, designing scalable architecture, and mentoring technical teams
Day-to-Day Activities
Architect and deploy scalable, secure cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise applications and data workflows
Lead cloud migration, modernization, and multi-region deployment projects
Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration across cloud environments using IaC tools and pipelines
Monitor system security, performance, and availability, proactively troubleshooting and resolving issues
Conduct security reviews, risk assessments, and compliance audits supporting enterprise standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize architecture, implement best practices, and ensure security standards
Maintain detailed architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and security policies
Evaluate new cloud features, tools, and industry trends, recommending strategic improvements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
10+ years of enterprise cloud architecture and deployment expertise supporting complex, regulated, and high-availability environments
Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect (preferred)
Proven experience supporting large-scale cloud infrastructures that meet security, compliance, and operational excellence standards
