Test Technician

Summary: Sterling Engineering is seeking Electrical Test Technicians to test and troubleshoot medium- and low-voltage power distribution equipment on the manufacturing floor. The role involves performing electrical testing, interpreting schematics, documenting data, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to resolve issues. Responsibilities: - Perform electrical testing using multimeters, hi-pot testers, and other tools - Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams - Document test data using standard software (Excel, Word, Modbus Poll, etc.) - Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve test issues - Maintain a clean, safe test area and follow electrical safety protocols (NFPA 70E, NEC) Required Qualifications: - Experience testing electrical equipment in a manufacturing or military setting - Strong ability to read schematics and follow test procedures - Comfortable using hand tools and test equipment - Familiarity with 3-phase, AC/DC systems, and power distribution concepts - Willingness to work overtime/weekends as needed Preferred Qualifications: - Technical degree or military training in electronics/electrical systems - Experience with data center or mission-critical power equipment Required Skills: Electrical testing, Multimeter usage, Hi-pot tester usage, Reading electrical schematics, Reading blueprints, Reading wiring diagrams, Electrical safety protocols, NFPA 70E, NEC, 3-phase systems, AC/DC systems, Power distribution concepts, Use of hand tools, Test procedure adherence Benefits: Quarterly Bonuses, Optional Overtime at X1.5 pay
