Investment Performance Analysis- Manager
Location: Mumbai, India
The Manager – SEC Yield role is accountable for end‑to‑end oversight of SEC Yield operations, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery. The role combines strong accounting expertise with people leadership, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to maintain high operational standards across daily processing, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Overall Responsibilities
Own end‑to‑end delivery of SEC Yield processes across assigned Clients/ funds.
Support review of SEC Yields in compliance with ICI guidelines and client policy.
Lead, mentor, and develop team members to ensure strong performance and succession readiness.
Ensure daily, monthly, and ad‑hoc deliverables are completed accurately and within defined SLAs.
Act as the primary escalation point for complex issues, breaks, and operational risks. Elevates unresolved issues to management, as required.
Drive effective communication with global stakeholders, client operations, and technology teams.
Ensure appropriate workload distribution, productivity, and operational health metrics.
Ensure adherence to internal controls, compliance requirements, and risk frameworks.
Review and approve key deliverables, exceptions, and impact assessments.
Lead process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives.
Support audits, regulatory reviews, and senior management reporting.
Manages and facilitates training and assists in the career development of new hires or subordinates.
Remains familiar with back-up procedures when system applications and/or transmission problems arise.
Accounting Specific Responsibilities:
Provide oversight and final review of daily SEC Yield calculations and validations.
Ensure SEC Yield methodologies comply with regulatory and accounting standards.
Review and approve resolution of complex income, accrual, and yield discrepancies.
Assess impact of fund events such as mergers, closures, non‑reporting status, or rule changes.
Ensure accurate treatment of income components and reporting classifications.
Guide teams on interpretation of SEC Yield rules and accounting judgments.
Ensures accurate income, expense, share and NAV information for daily calculation of SEC Yields.
Partner with Technology and Product teams on system enhancements and defect resolution.
Ensure strong documentation of accounting decisions, controls, and exceptions.
Proactively identify Sec Yield/ accounting risks and implement preventive controls.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
8–10 years of experience in Fund Accounting, SEC Yield, or Investment Accounting.
Experience in a global financial services or asset management environment preferred.
Prior experience managing teams and handling escalations in a production environment.
Strong technical knowledge of SEC Yield calculations, income & expenses accounting, fund structures, and financial instruments.
Proven ability to manage risk, controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
Ability to lead change, drive process improvements, and influence across functions.
Proficiency in MS Excel and fund accounting platforms; automation exposure preferred.
