Job Description
Summary: The State of Oklahoma is dedicated to leading Oklahoma to prosperity through health. The CBCAP Support Specialist Intern will gain hands-on experience by providing support for the Child Abuse Prevention Action Committee and other related initiatives, actively participating in various assignments and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide staff support for the Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Action Committee by working with staff and partners to recruit new members, planning agendas and collaborating on activities and events
- Provide staff support in the planning and execution of the statewide campaign for the prevention of child abuse and neglect
- Provide staff support in preparing for annual quality assurance site visits, reporting, and evaluation efforts
- Provide staff support in the coordination efforts of the Oklahoma Family Support Network and ongoing special projects
- Being present at the office is an essential function of the job
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program in Public Health, Education, Family and Child Studies, Human Development, or a similar field
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take initiative
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic proficiency in relevant tools or software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and take initiative on tasks
- Enthusiasm for learning and adapting in a professional environment
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork and collaboration skills
