Job Description
Summary: Star Catcher Industries, Inc. is powering the future of space by building the world’s first orbital energy grid. The Engineering Internship Program offers students the chance to support the development of space-to-space power beaming spacecraft and gain valuable experience in the space industry.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development, testing, and optimization of various space-related components and systems
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary teams
- Apply academic knowledge in a real-world setting
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a related field, or a recent graduate
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
- Passion for space, technology, and innovation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or hands-on project experience
- Familiarity with spacecraft systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g., MATLAB, SolidWorks, Python, CAD, etc.)
