Architecture Intern - Buildings (Summer 2026)

Summary: Stantec is a Top 10 global design firm located in Dallas, Texas, specializing in Buildings Engineering, Architecture, and Interior Design services. They are seeking passionate interns to support a multidisciplinary team in developing designs and documentation drawings while collaborating across their North American Buildings practice during the summer internship program. Responsibilities: - Support multi-disciplinary team in developing designs, schematic sketches/diagrams, and documentation drawings - Assist in the preparation of design presentations - Utilize BIM software as a tool for design drawings - Facilitate and ensure the quality of the project deliverables - Follow production guidelines and project standards in the department drafting standards manual - Providing CAD drafting and design assistance for a wide variety of projects, from report stage through design and construction administration - Assisting in resolution of technical issues on construction sites - Effective teaming within the project team Required Qualifications: - A passion for design and our profession - Ability to hand sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively - Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting - Ability to engage in creative and critical thought - Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material - Ability to communicate abstract ideas (verbal/written) - Please include a portfolio with your submission - Working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in support of an Architectural license required Preferred Qualifications: - Revit experience is preferred - Experience with design software (Sketch-up, Photoshop, and Illustrator, etc.) is preferred - Completion of your junior year preferred Required Skills: Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, Hand sketching, Architectural design, Building program interpretation Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision plans, A wellness program, Health saving accounts, Flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, Employee stock purchase program, Life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, Short-term/long-term disability plans, Emergency travel benefits, Tuition reimbursement, Professional membership fee coverage, Paid family leave, Ten paid holidays in each calendar year, Eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year, Eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law), Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law
