Job Description
Kickstart your career in events with the Ventures team at The Australian Financial Review, the driving force behind iconic events, prestigious lists, awards, and premium content solutions including the AFR Business Summit, Business Person of the Year, Women in Leadership, and various high-profile live events.
Reporting to the Head of Production, you will act as the operational engine overseeing all aspects of event registration and ticketing to ensure a seamless experience for delegates and cross-functional stakeholders alike. This fast-paced, results-oriented role is perfect for a collaborative professional with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and impactful event execution.
Day to day you will:
- Oversee end-to-end delegate registration and manage ticketing platforms like EventsAir.
- Collaboratively partner with internal marketing, programming, and commercial teams.
- Provide timely, high-quality customer service to all event attendees.
- Manage on-site registration execution and seamless attendee check-in processes.
- Produce post-event reports and analyse data to track key performance metrics.
- Monitor industry trends and new technologies to improve registration processes.
What you'll bring:
- Strong attention to detail and proven problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
- A friendly, professional interpersonal style that easily connects with people.
- Proficiency with G-Suite and Office Suite tools.
- A background in the events industry with a focus on customer service and prior experience with event registration systems is desirable but not essential.
- An interest or training in business, finance, or politics will be advantageous.
