The Opportunity

Reporting to the Lead People Partnering, St Vincent’s is seeking to appoint a passionate and motivated People Partner, to assist in delivering outstanding customer service to employees at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM), located on the home of the Wurundjeri people.
Partnering with the business, this role supports our Senior People Partners with delivering People & Culture advice, support and guidance on the effective execution of people processes including workforce planning and change, talent and performance management and to influence the overall culture and performance of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Primary day to day accountabilities for this appointment includes:
- Provide professional human resource services that is consistent with St Vincent’s people and culture strategy
- Engage and broker services from the broader People & Culture team to ensure a positive employee experience
- Drive a people and performance-focused culture by providing accurate, relevant advice and guidance in all aspects of People & Culture.
- Advise and assist with employee relations matters including supporting managers with performance and conduct matters, management of grievances and complaints, and undertaking investigations.

Selection Criteria
Key to success in the role will be a collaborative inter-professional approach, committed to elevating team capabilities, ultimately supporting St Vincent’s mission to deliver the highest calibre of patient-centred healthcare outcomes.
When formalising your application, please consider the following experience and capability requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field
- Clearly demonstrable personal effectiveness in delivering outcomes and founded on an innovation and improvement mindset
- Demonstrated People & Culture partnering experience in a complex work environment
- Driving results through effective communication to team and stakeholders alike
- A commitment to professional development, with a strong understanding of contemporary People & Culture practices
Whilst not essential, experience in a dynamic healthcare environment or other people centric industry sector would be highly regarded.
