Job Description
Summary: Fireye is a leading global provider of commercial combustion control solutions, specializing in HVAC and Burner Boiler markets. They are seeking a Test Development Engineer to ensure the quality of their products through Test Equipment Design, improvements, calibration, and maintenance. The role involves collaborating with various teams to improve products and processes while maintaining documentation and supporting quality assurance efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Debug Test Equipment for Manufacturing / Operations
- Develop Test Plans and Equipment for existing products and new products with inputs from Design / Hardware Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, Validation Engineering and Product Managers
- Maintain current production test equipment
- Support New Test Equipment strategies with New Products and Manufacturing Engineering
- Provide technical support to Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering on a variety of tasks
- Maintain and / or create proper documentation for existing and new developed test equipment
- Conduct Preventive Maintenance, soldering, wiring and setup of test equipment and fixtures as required to improve testing and / or correct false failures
- Communicate and drive improvements with the Quality Assurance group
Required Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or upcoming college degree
- Self-motivated individual that continually seeks growth
- Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team
- Ability to build effective working relationships, influence and problem-solve complex issues
- Hands-on experience with component level troubleshooting of analog circuits
- Proficient in use and operation of electronic tools/equipment such as oscilloscopes, power meters, frequency counters, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel software
- Demonstrated ability interpreting engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and procedures
