Class A, B, or C Driver (Chicago, IL)

Sound Investment, a leading Event Production and Sales & Installation company with a national footprint, is looking for a flexible, punctual and solution-oriented Driver to join a fast-paced and expanding team supporting its Chicago operations.

The Driver will focus on transporting event equipment and supporting warehouse operations. Drivers will be responsible for loading/unloading equipment, delivering gear to event venues, remaining on standby during productions as needed, and assisting with inventory and equipment organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate 26’ straight trucks, 16’ straight trucks and sprinters throughout Chicago and surrounding areas.
• Load, unload, transport, and deliver equipment to and from event venues, warehouse locations, and rental vendors
• Pick up and return rental equipment as needed
• Workers closely and in coordination with multiple business units and teams
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle(s) during each shift and report any issues immediately to the Fleet Manager
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks, routine shop maintenance and other operation tasks assigned

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Able to adapt quickly in fast-paced, changing environment
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail with proactive, solutions focused approach to resolving issues on the road and at delivery locations
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
• Valid Class A, B, or C Driver’s license
• Active Medical DOT card
