Description
Sales Engineer position at Avalon Precision Casting Company, LLC:
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by providing technical sales support and product expertise
- Collaborate with customers to understand project specifications, engineering requirements, and production goals
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and cost estimates for precision casting solutions
- Serve as the liaison between customers, engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure successful project execution
- Review blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications to determine manufacturability and feasibility
- Support new business development efforts by identifying sales opportunities and expanding existing accounts
- Coordinate project timelines, prototype development, and production schedules with internal departments
- Assist customers with material selection, casting design recommendations, and value-engineering solutions
- Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively resolve technical or production concerns
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and customer communications within CRM systems
- Participate in customer visits, trade shows, and industry events to promote company capabilities and strengthen partnerships
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer specifications, and industry regulations
- Work closely with manufacturing and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and customer expectations
- Provide technical guidance during product launches, process changes, and production transitions
- Support quoting accuracy by analyzing labor, tooling, machining, and material requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field preferred
- Previous sales engineering or manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of manufacturing and precision casting processes preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Willingness to travel for customer visits and industry events as needed
