Job Description
Summary: Siemens is a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. As an intern with the Electrification and Automation division, you will gain hands-on experience supporting power distribution systems while working on an AI-based product knowledge tool.
Responsibilities:
- Converting requirements for an AI-based product knowledge tool into a structured project plan
- Identifying and refining methods to link existing product information to an AI-based knowledge base
- Loading data and conducting test runs with potential system users
- Creating a process to maintain up-to-date information within the knowledge base
- Supporting data cleanup and working with stakeholders to identify and collect data sources
- Executing and managing the project end-to-end to deliver a working knowledge base tool
Required Qualifications:
- Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering Management, Business Analytics, Data Science, or Computer Science. Candidates must not graduate prior to September 2026
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 12-week summer internship
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) processes
- Knowledge of AI tools and language models
- Data analysis experience
- Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing to document processes and system usage
- Project management skills, including planning, executing, and managing project-based work
