Job Description
Summary: Service Minds is a company focused on providing skilled trades services, and they are seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to ensure the efficient daily operation of their warehouse. This role involves managing inventory, overseeing warehouse maintenance, and coordinating logistics to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring smooth receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and storage areas
- Manage inventory levels, including parts requisitions, stock replenishments, and purchase order creation and follow-up
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
- Schedule and oversee truck and warehouse inventories to ensure accurate stock levels and timely distribution
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to address inventory needs and delivery schedules
- Supervise the maintenance of the yard, including managing scrap and waste, and coordinating pickup and disposal
- Manage the inventory and distribution of uniforms
- Oversee consignment inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and management
- Handle warranty submissions and track the status of claims
- Pack and unpack items, ensuring proper storage and labeling
- Inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting issues to supervisors and addressing faulty or defective components
- Follow and enforce safety procedures, maintaining compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and according to prescribed standards
- Actively participate in team activities and professional development opportunities
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and supervisors to resolve issues and improve warehouse operations
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and operational activities
- Adhere to company policies regarding work hours, leave, and performance expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall warehouse efficiency
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks including reaching, bending, and carrying
- Adept at using hands and arms to handle, grasp, and operate equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented and respectful communication style
- Experience or willingness to learn to operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, floor lifts, and forklifts
- Basic proficiency with computers for data entry and inventory management
