Job Description
We are a full-service marketing and advertising agency that marries the human stories of our clients with storytelling, art, data, and conversations that are smart and compelling. That’s Serino Coyne.
We believe in the transformative power of a shared live experience. No matter where people buy a ticket – the theater, an attraction, a museum – we’re there because we know what it takes to connect creators with seekers. We are makers and thinkers, analysts and storytellers, artists, and filmmakers. We make meaningful connections that inspire. We create. We innovate. We nourish.
Our employees are our best investment. We value and celebrate each person’s worth, purpose and identity because that’s how our family flourishes. An inclusive and diverse workplace is a powerful workplace, and we strive to reflect and support equity and opportunity in all we do. We’re continuously learning and improving because that’s how thoughtful change happens.
We are seeking a Senior Manager to oversee ticketing and pricing strategy, sales data analysis, and industry research for clients including Broadway shows, Off-Broadway shows, and cultural institutions across New York City. This candidate should possess a unique combination of sales acumen, ticketing skills, and analytical thinking to support ticketing for clients both on a strategic level and a tactical level. A successful candidate for this position will be able to make data-driven recommendations using sales data, effectively communicate those recommendations to internal teams and external clients, implement ticket programming and optimizations, and accurately measure results overtime.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ticketing & Pricing Strategy
Oversee all sales and ticketing responsibilities for Serino Coyne clients, including pricing & inventory management, ticketing operations, and sales strategy.
Create, submit, and revise programming to support all aspects of ticketing (regular dynamic and variable pricing adjustments, performance scheduling, special promotions, distribution management, group sales, etc.).
Recommend optimizations to pricing and inventory management based on sales trends to maximize yield.
Manage day-to-day relationships with all sales channel partners, box offices, theater owners, ticketing entities, and show representatives to implement ticketing tactics and strategies.
Data Analysis & Insights
Lead and support sales analysis for client productions, making data-driven, strategic recommendations on pricing models, ticket programming and distribution against revenue goals and projections.
Effectively use sales data to anticipate trends and tell a story through clear, effective reporting and/or presentations -- translating complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to make integrated recommendations across traditional media, digital media, marketing partnerships, social media, and more based on sales trends.
Create and distribute daily and weekly reporting as needed.
Industry Research & Expertise
Cultivate a deep understanding of the Broadway and live entertainment industries, seasonal variables, and the competitive landscape to be a resource for both clients and agency teams.
Oversee the analysis of competitive landscape tracking.
Monitor industry trends across Broadway, live entertainment, and tourism using internal databases and external reporting.
Create and/or manage the analysis of post-trip surveys, other quantitative surveys, or qualitative research studies as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
5 to 8 years of experience in relevant, data-driven ticketing roles.
Experience with ticketing within the live entertainment industry required. Specific experience with ticketing systems regularly used on and off-Broadway (STAR/Telecharge, Nliven/Broadway Direct, Tessitura, Ticketmaster, Audience View) a plus.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required (Macros & VBA, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, PivotTables, charting, etc.). Experience with other data analysis or business intelligence tools (SQL, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) a plus.
Strong mathematical skills, analytical skills, and financial acumen required.
Ability to be available evenings and/or weekends as needed required.
Proficiency with marketing or advertising, including media planning and digital media metrics, a plus.
Proficiency with qualitative and/or quantitative research a plus.
Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills required.
Ability to collaborate seamlessly and effectively across disciplines and departments required.
This is a client-facing role: excellent communication skills (written, in-person, and presenting to large groups) are required.
