Job Description
Summary: SEI’s Climate Corps Fellowship program offers the chance to lead impactful climate and community resilience projects while gaining paid, hands-on experience. As an Energy Management Associate, you will build out the energy management program while collaborating with professionals across the University of Puget Sound to drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor campus energy use trends and equipment performance
- Identify opportunities for energy savings across campus
- Participate in TPU and PSE Commercial Strategic Energy Management (CSEM) meetings
- Support CBPS Operations & Maintenance Plan and Energy Management Plan development
- Perform research and analysis, develop performance metrics, and monitor and evaluate energy conservation program progress towards efficiency goals
- Research and propose improved processes for data collection and management
- Assist with updating the 2025 GHG emissions inventory for Scope 1 & Scope 2 emissions
- Support compliance with WA Clean Buildings Performance Standard, including attending cohort meetings and tracking key deadlines for documentation submission
- Support relevant grant application opportunities as they arise
- Design graphic materials such as emails, stickers, and posters to promote sustainable behaviors
- Implement behavior change actions and campaigns to support energy conservation on campus
- Provide support for energy-related student capstone projects and research inquiries
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in energy systems, natural resources, sustainability, environmental science and policy, engineering, or other related fields
- Upper-level coursework or capstone project experience in energy management, energy systems, technical data analysis (such as life-cycle analysis), or carbon accounting
- Related experience in fields related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, energy management, and/or data analysis
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments, make independent judgments and/or decisions, and discern when action at a higher level is required
- Experience working collaboratively
- Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects and maintain an organized and well-communicated workflow
- Comfort with conducting outreach, including in-person tabling and creating outreach materials
- A deep passion for sustainability, with the practical skills and abilities to effect change in complex systems
- The ability to work onsite on a full-time basis. This position requires the employee to be physically located within commuting distance of the site location at the time of hire. Only candidates currently residing within commuting distance of the site address will be considered

- May require occasional moving about to accomplish tasks, moving from one worksite to another, or adjusting or moving objects under 25-50 pounds in all directions
