Substitute (2026-2027) (ADM)

Summary: Midway Independent School District is seeking a Substitute Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The substitute teacher will be responsible for providing instruction, managing the classroom environment, and promoting student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Responsibilities: - Providing instruction - Managing the classroom environment - Promoting student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher Required Qualifications: - A substitute application - A transcript showing some college hours OR a copy of a current teaching certificate - At least 2 non-family references - On-boarding paperwork (Assigned to the substitute applicant once the application has been approved) - To pass a Criminal history/background check and be fingerprinted through TEA's database (a fingerprint authorization will be requested once the on-boarding paperwork has been approved) - Substitute Handbook Checklist (the checklist will be assigned in conjunction with the fingerprinting process) Required Skills: Teaching Certificate, Criminal History Background Check, Fingerprinting through TEA Database
