Structural Engineer-EIT

Summary: Sandman Structural Engineers is seeking a Structural Engineer-EIT. In this role, you will perform design work on projects, manage project efficiency, and maintain administrative tasks to ensure client satisfaction and timely invoicing. Responsibilities: - Ensure clear and comprehensive designs that comply with current technical standards and regulations - Performs design work - Prepares portions of project documents - Edits specifications - Performs research and investigations - Assists with structural engineering on projects of all sizes - Prepares for and participates in project meetings - Works on multiple projects concurrently - Ensure documents and emails are filed appropriately - Accurately record and submit time for each project Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program - Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months - 0-4 years of related experience - Passion for structural engineering, innovation, and design - Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and commitment to success of both team members and clients - Proficient use of the English language, both verbal and written, and adaptable to all audiences - Physically able to conduct field inspection and testing as assigned - Maintain a valid driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program - Internship completed with focus in structural engineering - Professional Activities: Member of professional organization - Community Activities: Involved in local outreach activities, university engineering clubs, etc Required Skills: Structural Engineering, Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification, Field Inspection, Design Work, Project Documentation, Specification Editing Benefits: Competitive Wages., Paid PTO and Holidays (if eligible), 401(k) with Matching Funds (if eligible), Employee Stock Ownership Retirement Plan (ESOP) (if eligible), Discretionary Bonuses (if eligible), Medical/Dental/Life/Disability Insurances (if eligible), Paid time off, Health insurance, Dental insurance, Vision insurance, Life insurance, Disability insurance, 401(k), 401(k) matching, Referral program, Profit sharing
