Unit Secretary/Monitor Technician, CCU

Summary: San Antonio Regional Hospital is seeking a Unit Secretary/Monitor Technician for their Tele-Citrus department. The role involves maintaining clerical organization within the unit and monitoring telemetry effectively. Responsibilities: - Maintain clerical organization within the unit - Competently monitor the telemetry Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED preferred - Successful completion of a basic EKG course or Basic EKG can be challenged with a passing of 80% or greater on exam - One year experience as Unit Secretary or completion of Unit Secretary course preferred - Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing - Able to work in a fast-paced environment - Competent in managing/prioritizing/completing work assignments and other duties, as assigned in a timely and efficient manner - Proficient in cardiac arrhythmia detection and medical terminology - A current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card is required - Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job Preferred Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED preferred - One year experience as Unit Secretary or completion of Unit Secretary course preferred Required Skills: Basic, Cardiac arrhythmia detection, Medical terminology, American Heart Association BLS certification, Telemetry monitoring, Prioritization
