Job Description
Summary: Safety National is a leading commercial specialty insurance and reinsurance provider. As a Test Automation Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the Quality Engineering team in an Agile environment, developing automated test scripts and analyzing test results to ensure high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with developing and executing automated test scripts
- Analyze test results
- Learn how automation tools integrate into the broader software delivery lifecycle
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required
- Interest in software testing, quality engineering, or test automation as a potential career path
- Exposure to or coursework involving programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript
- Basic understanding of Agile methodologies or the software development lifecycle
- 60 or more credit hours complete with an expected graduation date no later than May of 2027
- Ability to work on-site at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO 63146, full-time schedule (37.5 hours) in summer of 2026
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with or curiosity about testing tools or frameworks such as Selenium, JMeter, Jenkins, or similar technologies
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking skills, and effective verbal and written communication
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a willingness to learn and collaborate in a team environment
