Job Description
Summary: S&P Global Energy is seeking candidates for their 10-week IMPACT Summer Internship Program within the Research and Analytics business. The role involves conducting research and analyzing market trends in energy and climate sectors, while gaining hands-on experience and insights into energy transition dynamics.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analyze market trends in energy and climate sectors
- Support modelling efforts and collaborate with global analysts
- Utilize tools like Python, Power BI, and Excel for data structuring and visualization
- Participate in policy evaluation and data management tasks
- Engage with industry experts to gain insights into energy transition dynamics
Required Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate or graduate student graduating May 2027
- Must be available for internship from June 1st - August 7th
- Educational background in Engineering (Chemical, Energy, Petroleum, Mechanical) and related studies are preferred
- Must have experience or strong interest in commodities, energy global markets and overall interconnected energy business ecosystem
- Strong quantitative skills and research background, including experience using Excel and/or other data analytics tools
- Familiarity using Generative AI tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
- Intellectual curiosity and strong desire to learn and explore new ideas
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in market analysis or policy evaluation
- Familiarity with energy markets, climate solutions, and sustainable strategies
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
