Job Description
Summary: Roche is a recognized leader in the transformational field of gene therapy, and they are seeking a highly motivated Intern for their Drug Product Development team in Philadelphia. This position offers hands-on experience in formulation and method development, contributing directly to Roche’s gene therapy portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Gain hands-on experience with AAV formulation and biophysical characterization techniques
- Work alongside Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design, execute, and analyze wet-lab experiments
- Document experimental protocols and results in laboratory notebooks, and present technical findings to the DPD team and collaborators
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives aimed at optimizing process development workflows
Required Qualifications:
- Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled in a graduate program)
- Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student)
- Must have attained a Master's Degree
- Required Majors: Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields
- Practical experience with protein- and/or DNA-related laboratory techniques and safety
- Strong academic understanding of nucleic acid and protein sciences and biophysical characterization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

- Prior experience with nucleic acid and/or protein sciences in an academic or industry setting
- Familiarity with gene therapy concepts, Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) biology, or bioprocessing concepts
