Principales responsabilités et activités :
Préparer le calcul périodique des exigences de suffisance du capital réglementaire (ESCAP) et l’évaluation des besoins futurs en capital.
Collaborer en temps opportun à la mise en œuvre des changements relatifs aux exigences de suffisance du capital réglementaire.
Élaborer les projections financières pour l’examen de situation financière (ESF) et collaborer à l’analyse et à la production des rapports.
Aider à l’évaluation des nouvelles affaires quant au capital réglementaire.
Soutenir les travaux de vérifications internes et externes liées aux calculs de capital réglementaire.
Participer à la préparation des états financiers et autres rapports actuariels, y compris le calcul des passifs actuariels des polices conformément à IFRS 17.
Produire la documentation des projets et assurer l’intégrité des hypothèses utilisées dans les modèles.
Aider avec des demandes supplémentaires au besoin.
Exigences :
Baccalauréat en sciences actuarielles ou en mathématiques.
Au moins deux ans d’expérience dans l’industrie de l’assurance.
Minimum de cinq examens de la Société des actuaires.
Solides connaissances et intérêt pour l’informatique et les logiciels.
Expérience dans l’industrie de la réassurance, un atout.
Connaissance du logiciel AXIS, un atout.

La maîtrise du français et de l’anglais à l’oral comme à l’écrit est requise en raison de la nécessité de communiquer verbalement et par écrit avec les intervenants du projet, principalement anglophones, qui sont situés en dehors du Québec.
Reporting to the Assistant Actuary, Valuation, the candidate assumes administrative and corporate duties in order to meet the departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities/Activities:
Prepare the periodic calculation of the regulatory capital (LICAT) requirements and the assessment of future capital needs.
Collaborate to the implementation of changes in regulatory capital requirements on a timely basis.
Produce the financial projections for the Financial Condition Testing (FCT) and collaborate with the analysis and production of reports.
Assist in the assessment of the impacts of new business on regulatory capital.
Support internal and external audits related to regulatory capital calculations.
Participate in the preparation of the financial statements and other actuarial reports including the calculation of actuarial liabilities of the policies according to IFRS17.
Produce documentation of projects and ensure integrity of assumptions used in models.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial or in mathematics.
A minimum of two years of experience in the insurance industry.
Minimum of five exams of the Society of Actuaries.
Strong knowledge and interest in computer science & software.
Experience in the reinsurance industry, an asset.
Knowledge of the AXIS software, an asset.
Abilities:
Experience working independently and in an environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration is essential.
Ability to work within changing priorities, demands and timelines.
Solid technical and analytical skills.
Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
Sense of organization and attention to details.
Bilingual French/English (oral and written) is required given the need to communicate orally and in writing with predominantly English-speaking project
stakeholders based outside of Québec.

Compensation Range:
$79,500.00 - $99,350.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
