Job Description
Summary: Resolution Economics is a leading economic consulting firm focused on providing economic, statistical, and financial analysis. They are seeking a Consultant I to assist with managing documents and data, performing statistical analyses, and supporting various project tasks in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Using SAS and Microsoft Office to analyze data and present results both internally and to clients
- Gathering data from a variety of file formats using SAS programming, OCR, data entry, or other methods
- Data cleaning and processing
- Performing statistical analyses including t-tests, chi-square tests, regressions, etc
- Supervising and reviewing Research Assistant work
- Researching additional data sources (e.g., Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Census, etc.)
- Assisting staff at all levels with project tasks and quality control
- Reviewing and summarizing documents
- Travel may be required on certain projects
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with statistical or data programming languages such as SAS, R, STATA, Python, SQL, or VBA
- Demonstrated understanding of economic and statistical concepts
- High attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Solid work ethic and commitment to success
- Comfort with tight deadlines, shifting priorities and client requests
- Willingness to work extended or irregular hours based on project needs
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in litigation a big plus
- Master's degree a plus but not required
