Job Description
Summary: Renaissance is a global leader in pre-K–12 education technology, dedicated to enhancing personalized learning experiences for students. As an Assessment Specialist Intern, you will oversee data integration and documentation for educational assessments, contributing to a knowledge base that supports K-12 school districts nationwide.
Responsibilities:
- Research and document state assessment requirements, file formats, and performance bands for assigned states
- Create structured Confluence pages following established templates
- Verify importer compatibility with documented file formats
- Work with Implementation Managers, Data Leads, and Support teams to validate documentation accuracy
- Review and update existing documentation for accuracy and completeness
Required Qualifications:
- Educational background in Education, Data Analytics, or Technical Writing
- Familiarity with assessment data formats (CSV, Excel)
- Understanding of educational assessment terminology
- Strong ability to create clear, step-by-step documentation
- Precise documentation of file formats, column mappings, and performance bands
- Ability to gather information from multiple sources (state education sites, vendor documentation)
- Experience with Confluence, Excel, and collaborative platforms
- Clear verbal and written communication for stakeholder interactions
- Analytical thinking for troubleshooting documentation gaps
