Job Description
Summary: Placer County Office of Education is an educational leader dedicated to providing quality education services to the community. They are seeking a Teacher Assistant for Deaf Education to support teachers in implementing instructional programs for students with hearing disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provides support to assist teacher(s) or other certificated employee(s) in implementing the instructional program for students whose primary disability is deaf or hard of hearing
Required Qualifications:
- Must currently possess or must obtain CPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment
- If hired, must provide proof of a valid California Driver's License
- Completion of 60 Semester Units (2 years of study) at an institution of higher education
- Possession of an Associate's Degree or Higher
- Passing of a local assessment in Reading/Writing and Mathematics (which will be conducted on the day of the interview)
- Math knowledge will consist of basic fractions, percentages, word problems, etc. (equal to that of a high school student requirement)
- Reading/Writing will consist of comprehension, proper language, etc (equal to that of a high school student requirement)
- Letter of Introduction (Cover Letter)
- Proof of HS Graduation (Diploma or equivalent)
- Resume
