NPD Engineering Intern

Summary: Spectrum Plastics Group is seeking a New Product Development (NPD) Engineer Intern to support their Continuous Improvement strategy in an ISO 13485 certified environment. The intern will gain hands-on experience by collaborating with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams on engineering practices, testing, and project execution. Responsibilities: - Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to completion - Facilitate project team meetings to gain exposure collaborating across engineering, operations, safety, and quality departments - Assist in process validation equipment qualification activities - Conduct investigations and gather data to support process decisions and product improvements - Report regular updates on project initiatives - Provide general engineering support to the engineering team on active projects Required Qualifications: - Pursuing a bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or related field - Strong interest in process development in an ISO 13485 environment - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - Hands-on aptitude and willingness to learn through practical project experience - Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD experience a plus Required Skills: ISO 13485, Process development, Process validation, Equipment qualification, Microsoft Office, CAD
